Slaver of Gor - Chapter Eighteen (Final Chapter)

I began screaming hysterically when I saw the kef branding iron in the wagon’s luggage. It was one of many items, including coal and charcoal, that Julian had bought at one of the trading jetties along the Thassa Cartius river when he had shopped for supplies. I don’t know whether I was meant to see it before its use, but see it I did.

Nothing stopped my screaming. I couldn’t control myself. I was hysterical, in shock, as I set eyes on the long iron, with its insulted handle, and cursive tip, designed to sear the kef mark indelibly into the soft, smooth skin of a girl’s left thigh.

Slaver of Gor - Chapter Seventeen

A sense of abiding terror now consumed me. It was the habitual not knowing; the not knowing where we were going, why we were going there, and whether or not I would be returned to Argentum for ransom. Logic dictated I would be, but we were heading east. Argentum lay to the west. We were going in the wrong direction! I grew more and more anxious as the days rolled by. I was a naked girl chained in a flatbed slave wagon! Julian seemed not to care that I had offered him so much money, or, if he did, he was keeping an expressionless kaissa face for me to see. I clung to the belief that our journey east was only a temporary necessity to avoid the war bands that lay between us and Argentum, and that when it was safe to do so, Julian would travel there with all due haste.

Slaver of Gor - Chapter Sixteen

Beth led me from the tent, her hand gripped tightly in my hair – a restraining technique made easy by the long length of my hair and her superior height.

“There is no need for that!” I said, as I stumbled beside her.

“Would you prefer me to leash you, 293? I could put you on a girl leash?”

“No.”

Slaver of Gor - Chapter Fifteen

“What did you do to the army of Argentum?” I realised how foolish that sounded, the moment I spoke the words.

“I should perhaps confess that I am a magician from Anango, and not simply the metal worker you presumed me to be,” said Julian. “It was a simple matter of waiting until the stars were in alignment and then working a potent magical charm capable of vanishing an army.”

Slaver of Gor - Chapter Fourteen

I woke gradually form a sequence of very lurid dreams that I shall not describe, to find it was still dark, though the soft chirping of distant birds outside the tent suggested dawn was close. I lay on my couch and felt a man’s arm around my waist. To my surprise I discovered that Julian shared my bed and in his sleep he had pinned me to the furs, with his right hand cupping my bottom. Obviously I had fallen asleep after the events of last night, and I had neglected to return him to the space beneath my wagon, which had been careless of me.

Slaver of Gor - Chapter Thirteen

“Are we enemies now?”

The dinner had broken up in due course. We stood away from the other officers, gazing out over the camp at the three moons of Gor that hung in the night sky.

“I suppose we are, yes,” said Cornelius as he looked down at me in the torch light. “You are a free woman of Argentum, and I am a warrior of Corcyrus. These things are set and we cannot change them.”

“I don’t want to be your enemy,” I said softly.

Slaver of Gor - Chapter Twelve

“It is acceptable for a woman to be feminine, Mistress,” said Beth as she carefully brushed my hair that evening. She first brushed one side and then the other, with measured even strokes. She was referring of course to the incident with Julian. She knew why I had ordered him chained beneath the wagon before the sun had barely set. Kajirae know everything, it seems.

She was right, of course. It is not just acceptable for a woman to be feminine, but it is expected of her. Men do not permit us to live any other way.

“His kiss was unacceptable,” I said. Somehow I could still taste it as a tangible memory on my lips.

Slaver of Gor - Chapter Eleven

It had rained heavily last night and so our wagons were bogged down in thick, cloying, mud as we began to break camp. I watched from the mouth of my tent as several burly men strained to free the heavy wheels at the back as the draft tharlarion was goaded to pull forward with all its strength.

I drank some hot black wine and watched the rain continue to beat its steady rhythm on the tent tarpaulin.

It was the fourth day after having found the Army of Argentum and joined its baggage train, and I felt free at last. For the time being I was well away from the talons and claws of the masked women of the concilio. Their reach didn’t extend very far outside of the main gates of the city, and whatever they thought of my true motives for leaving, I had a cast iron reason for doing so.

Slaver of Gor – Chapter Ten

I knew what I had to do, of course. I had known it as I hurried home, no longer escorted by a bell ringing kajira.

There was no doubt in my mind that Beth would say something that would undermine my answers today. It was a certainty. It didn’t even need to be malicious on her part. They would simply fire pre-prepared questions at her and the girl would let slip some minor observation that would cast further doubt on my ‘purity’. In turn, those answers would then prove to be the legal basis for me to be summoned a second time.

A second appearance before the pudoris concilio would be very different from the first. I had heard of such second appointments. The second time a woman is summoned to the concillo, she appears there naked, her wrists chained together behind the small of her back, with a connecting length of chain securing her to the iron ring.

Slaver of Gor – Chapter Nine

This is the way they come for you.

Two kajirae called upon me at my house. Their hair was gathered back in long pony tails and they both wore charcoal grey tunics, with modest rounded necklines, on which there was a single vertical light grey decorative stripe running down the left side of the tunic, marking them as the property of the terrifying Pudoris Concilio. One of the two girls carried a hand bell which she rang clearly in the street in front of my house to inform me it was time to emerge. It is wise not to delay doing so, because the little slut will continue to ring that bell, drawing attention to you, until you finally do appear. Other ladies living in your street will hear the chimes and will emerge to see who has been summoned by the Pudoris Concilio, so you would be wise to slip out as quickly as possible, otherwise word of your summoning swiftly spreads like wildfire.

Slaver of Gor – Chapter Eight

“What is your name?” I said to the slave.

“Lady Phillina.” She then screamed as I lashed her once with the whip.

“Wrong! You do not know your name, because you haven’t been told it yet!” She was naked, of course, freshly branded and collared as per the court judgement. I let her scream from the pain of her first whipping as my colleague, the Lady Rosalita, paced about her in the assessment chamber of the Slaver House.

Slaver of Gor - Chapter Seven

Five days later, Beth, my slave, came across me crying as I lay on the couch in my rooms. I had thrown the Arcessitus Propter to the tiled floor, where it lay open, the unfolded parchment document with its heavy wax seal visible between the two stiff cover bindings.

“Mistress?” Beth advanced into the room and watched as I sniffed back some fresh tears. I looked up, ashamed to have been found like this.

“Beth…” I hadn’t expected her back from her errands so soon. I rose from the couch and blew my nose, trying to appear calm again.

The Argentum/Corcyrus Conflict

As hostilities are brewing between Argentum and Corcyrus, in the novel 'Slaver of Gor', here is a timely reminder of the localised geography of the region (taken from the larger map of Gor that you can find via the ‘reference’ tab on the side bar)

Slaver of Gor – Chapter Six

I watched as the Lady Thamaya looked everywhere in the chamber of assessment other than directly at the naked figure of Julian.

“I may be beaten for saying so, but Mistress is very lovely,” said Julian after some moments of silence.

Slaver of Gor – Chapter Five

“I’m actually more than just a little nervous today,” said Lady Thamaya as she sipped her goblet of wine. “Can you imagine that!”

“Oh?” I raised an amused eyebrow as I sat beside her in the dappled sunlight of my private courtyard. We were shaded and screened by high walls and wooden trellis constructions on which vines and ivy climbed in abstract patterns.

“Well, I’m not exactly in the habit of calling on friends in order that I might be assessed!” she said with a gentle laugh.

Chloe offers a secret glimpse of the Lady Amicia Katares

What does our Lady Slaver look like? Well, kind masters, and ever so gentle mistresses, through the digital art magic of breaking the Gorean fourth wall, we can take a peek at the Lady Amicia Katares and her slave girl, Beth, as the Lady prepares to bathe after an arduous day at work.

Slaver of Gor – Chapter Four

“I understand you recently bought a silk slave,” said Bryssius as he escorted me through the opulent and ornamental public Gardens of Abrogastes. It was a bright sunny day in Argentum, perfect for an afternoon stroll in the company of a distinguished captain of Tharlarion cavalry. Bryssius wore a smartly pressed red tunic, and a crisp white cape as he walked by my side, making pleasant conversation. Other ladies strolled through the gardens with their own escorts, occasionally glancing at me in envy, for Bryssius cut a spectacular dash as he walked by.

Slaver of Gor – Chapter Three

When a woman puts a man to use, it is important that she establishes her dominance from the outset. There can be no prevarication whatsoever, or the man may scent weakness in the woman. The caste of slavers, of which I am a member of the governing council in Argentum, typically offers instruction in the best way to handle a silk slave when a woman chooses to buy one. Most free women have little understanding of how they should put a man to use, and left to their own improvisation that result is likely to be inadequate and leaves the woman regretting her purchase.

Slaver of Gor - Chapter Two

I returned home and, as always, the first thing I did was call for Beth to help me undress.

“Greetings Mistress. I hope you had a good day?” Beth has worn my collar for three years now and has proven to be an excellent slave. Had she not, I would have swiftly sold her.

“A productive day, Beth. I can’t complain.”

Slaver of Gor - Chapter One

There is always that moment at a fashionable garden party in Argentum, or perhaps a social ball, or indeed any evening reception, where fine Ladies of the city gather to converse and outwit one another, when I am asked what my profession might be.

I always enjoy that moment. In fact I savour the two or three ihn I allow to tick by before I answer, ‘slaver.” There is always such a look of surprise on the face of the Lady talking to me – a flustered look, as she realises perhaps, she hadn’t wanted to know that.
