The Slave World (34) - the final chapter!

(34): Rage against the dying of the light

With the first gunshot the field in the New Forest erupted into chaos. Andromedus was dead, just like that and he never saw it coming. To their credit the Goreans reacted quickly. One man snapped the safety off his weapon and sprayed semi-automatic fire in the rough direction of the rifle shot. As he did so another man screamed and was flung backwards as a second rifle shot shattered his right shoulder.

(33): Like the mating of the earth and air

I was numb with shock. I had been caged, brutally raped and now I was going to be shipped to Gor as human livestock. And Adam, the man I now knew I loved, had been beaten to within an inch of his life in an attempt to protect me.

(32): Broken

“Are you hungry?” asked Andromedus. I had been in the cage now for over twenty four hours, which meant I had probably not eaten in close to thirty six hours. He had a cardboard box of pizza in one hand as he crouched beside my cage.

“Yes,” I said as I knelt with my head bowed slightly due to the restrictive height of the cage.

Caitlin in the House of Three Moons

Despite her well earned summer break riding wild polar bears across Canada, Chloe couldn't resist trying her hand at an illustration for the current Slave World novel. She's called it an imaginary scene of Caitlin being auctioned, but I think it works very well as a scene from her overnight visit to the House of Three Moons many chapters ago. One of the Kur slavers puts her through her slave paces before an appreciative audience.

(31): In the cage

A truism in life is that you learn from new experiences and what I learned from waking up cold and naked inside a small cage in a dimly lit basement of brick and cement surrounded by other cages full of naked girls is that my natural reaction is to scream hysterically.

(30): Going dark

“It’s not going to be easy, but yes, I think we can arrange it. Mark should be here though. He needs to hear this too,” said Adam as we sat in a gastropub near King’s Cross called the Driver. Situated on Caledonian Road it was an old favourite of mine for an occasional working lunch with its vertical garden and decked roof terrace. Adam had bought me a glass of red wine which sat untouched on the table as I had outlined the arrangement I had proposed to Rebecca after dropping the bombshell that she had a dose of Carousel to trade for her freedom.

(29): 10K

“You’re looking very different today, Caitlin,” said the woman who was now passing herself off as Rebecca Miles. “Makeup, short summer dress, high heels, perfume, why I’d almost think that love must be in the air for you? A new boyfriend perhaps? A new boyfriend with exacting standards in women?” She smiled as she poured me a refill of coffee in her Docklands flat.

(28): Seven days a slave

Adam began to make changes in my lifestyle with the express aim of proving to the House of Three Moons that he was treating me as a kajira. I was forbidden from carrying money. Like the other secret slaves of London I had my purse and credit cards taken from me. Instead I was given a new charge card that I could use to buy things with the proviso that Adam could see each expenditure as it was made. He could in theory question me regarding each transaction. What was it for? Was it a purchase appropriate to a kajira? Could I justify the spend? Had I been given permission? Adam received a phone alert each time I used the card.

(27): Pillow talk

I began my first day of bondage to Adam when I awoke to find his hands on my hips as he turned me onto my left side to face him in the bed. He was ramrod hard with the typical 'morning glory' that men have throughout the night and he intended to make good use of me to satisfy himself.

I was barely awake to begin with as he stroked between my thighs, making me deliciously wet in a matter of minutes.

(26): Adam has missed me...

I felt his fingers begin to unbutton my blouse as soon as I came through the door. This was happening! This was a genuine happening thing and it had taken me completely by surprise. I felt his hands then slide under the thin fabric to caress my skin. I leaned forward to kiss him, lifting my arms about his neck and shoulders as he continued to pull my blouse free from the waist band of my jeans. Adam was already growing hard and I could feel that bulge in his jeans pushing against me as we caressed and kissed just seconds after I had walked innocently into his apartment.

(25): Home

I felt drained and mentally tired as I walked into my flat just in time to see Kassa pushing her bicycle out into the hallway for the start of her late night delivery shift.

“Caitlin, I was worried. Where have you been?” she asked. She touched my cheek and frowned. “You look awful.”

(24): Going Underground

“Where are we?” I asked as Mark drove the car across some uneven waste ground and into a derelict factory covered in graffiti shortly after six thirty in the evening. Maybe it had once been a thriving centre for industry but now the building was little more than a shell; three floors of gutted interior and broken glass – a home to urban foxes and stray cats. The concrete flooring was repeatedly cracked and home to thriving colonies of weeds. Most of the window glass had been broken by kids throwing stones and bricks and what little glass remained was opaque with dirt. Mark drove the car through the open floor of the ground level and brought it to a stop close to a door set into the far wall.

(23): Kajira catch

I walked agonisingly slowly past the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden for the ankle ring had just hummed against my skin again, warning me in no uncertain terms that I was exceeding the two miles per hour speed limit that had been placed upon my movement. I was in the vicinity of Covent Garden and I knew I was no longer restricted and that I was easy prey in this game of 'kajira catch'.

(22): Level one restricted

As daylight hours gave way to early evening I began to grow concerned at the lack of texts from Adam. I should have had some sort of reply by now I thought as I gazed at my blank phone screen. My texts to him had grown more worried in tone until finally I had texted: ‘just let me know you’re okay, okay?’

(21): A game of worlds

“Do you mind if I smoke? Asked Rebecca/Jennifer.

“I’d rather you didn’t, but it’s your flat, not mine.”

Jennifer reached for a packet of cigarettes and produced one, lighting it with a lighter from her nearby handbag. “I never could kick the habit,” she said as she took the first puff. “Funny how things that were once socially acceptable become almost taboo in time.”

(20): Canary Wharf

My waking hours were now punctuated by three hourly alerts on my phone to remind me to text Adam. I was browsing through Selfridges in Oxford street when the next alert pinged. I smiled as I fished out the phone. This ‘game’ we were playing now kept us thinking of one another. Every three hours I would be reminded of Adam and every three hours a photo text from me would remind Adam of Caitlin Ambrose. I stood by rails of clothes and snapped a selfie as I stood with one hand on my hip and a coy look on my face. I typed the words ‘kajira pose’ and pressed send.

(19): Home run

And so I threw myself back into my work, heart, body and soul. I had a client after all.

I worked all day and all of the night, as the Kinks would say, working from home mostly because I felt safer there. Ridiculous as it might seem I assumed my council run tower block was not the sort of place where Gorean Masters might loiter. Frankly the neighbourhood rats probably gave it a wide berth too.

(18): Café kajira

Outside. I was outside again in the big wide world with its fresh air. I felt nervous and kept looking around me as we walked through Soho, convinced that at any moment now I would feel the signal pulse on my ankle ring that would announce a master was within one hundred yards and interested in me. I stuck very close to Adam and actually felt terrified at the prospect of being left somewhere on my own for more than a few minutes.

(17): Kassa

I was a secret slave now. My life had changed and for five days I didn't dare leave my tower block flat or even answer Adam's calls. If I did I might meet one of them. One of the Goreans. One of the slavers.

(16): Ankle Ring

I woke sometime late in the afternoon with a start, realising I had obviously fallen asleep and the men had left me to it. I rubbed my eyes and gazed at the digital clock on the bedside table. It read 18.45. I had been asleep then for over eight hours. If I had hoped that the ankle ring might have just been a nightmare I was rudely disappointed as I gazed down and saw it still locked upon me. A sheet covered my body, and I guessed that Adam and Mark had found me asleep and had done the decent thing to place the covers over me.
