Lady Donna's proposed index for Chloe's art (comments invited)

Chloe’s Drawings Anthology

This is the first attempt at giving a list of the drawings that Chloe, first girl on the estate of Brinn of the Sardar has produced in support of the stories written by Emma.

I have split the list into two parts, those drawings that support the short stories and those that support the full-length stories.

In producing this first attempt, I realised that I could either have multiple characters in each listing or have a separate entry for each character, what does the readership prefer? Separate entries will mean that the list gets very long very quickly.

One thing I have noticed is that I can only have 3 columns on sorting, and as I chose characters as the primary choice, picture number is not ordered, so if Brinn, Chloe and Emma are in picture 4 then that comes before Brinn, Emma, Naomi.

  2. Tal,

I see now what you have in mind for this, Donna. These are my thoughts.

Personally, I think listing all the characters for each illustration is a more useful format and would reduce the complexity of the overall index.

Also, I wonder if assigning a unique identifier to each drawing would be helpful? For example, a prefix identifying the story of origin followed by a sequence number indicating the order in which the drawing appears in the story, could be a handy, unambiguous way to reference a particular drawing.

Finally I think the index should be limited to Chloe original artwork created for this blog.

  3. Tal Mick,

Thanks for that so taking my outline list above with multiple characters in the reference number would be UoG15xx, so Ubara of Gor, Chapter 15 picture xx etc.

No, I am not doing anything else outside what Emma and Chloe have written.

    1. Tal Donna,

Your sample reference numbers appear to be exactly the format we need.

One other thought: if we stay with only original Chloe artwork, then Slave World and the first four chapters of Kiera of Gor and any other posts using stock photos or illustrations would need to be put on hold until such time as Chloe (hopefully) has the opportunity to revisit those.

Thanks for all your fine ideas and efforts.
