Dunes of Gor Chapter Three

Chapter Three: The Virgin Bell

Afrid, the market stall owner in the souq, regarded the two girls with the polite expression of a man who knew exactly what they were up to.

“The figs look lovely and juicy this morning, don’t they Jaleesa?” said Serafina as she squeezed one.

“Oh, yes, they look so juicy and fresh,” agreed Jaleesa as she pretended not to notice the row of ka-la-na bottles that Afrid had on display alongside his fruit and vegetables.

Dunes of Gor Chapter Two

Chapter Two: Daan Shahzad

The Khuda, Daan Shahzad, was a tall, lean looking man with short dark hair that was rapidly receding at the temples. He stood quietly by the open window of his office, hands clasped behind his back, apparently deep in thought. His desk was covered in papers and bound volumes of profit statements. Behind the desk stood shelves with more books, and the walls either side continued the theme. There were volumes on history, poetry, metaphysics, agricultural science, astronomy, philosophy and religion, but no fiction – not even a single parchment, for Daan Shahzad, the 53 year old head of the House Shahzad, never read fiction. “Made up stories are simply lies,” he once told Serafina and Jaleesa when they were 8 and 6 respectively, “and I have no desire to read lies to you.”

Saijid of Tor

Chloe is hard at work creating 1001 pictures of, well, Chloe, for the assembled short stories and novellas of the Chloe book, First Girl of Gor, that I've been writing, so she's not really available to do much else at the moment. Having said that, she famously loves the Tahari, and as soon as I start referencing the Tahari in any way she's almost certainly going to create something for it.

I'm sooo sneaky like that...

Dunes of Gor Chapter One

Chapter One: The Garden of Eternal Respite

“A flower grows from beneath a blanket, of fine and purest white. It reaches toward the sun for warmth, for heat and for the light. My love for you grows stronger still, despite the surrounding cold. My heart is yours, bartered gone, for yours has it been sold. Its petals shine from morning dew, its stem grows stiff and strong. It stands strong through the freezing cold; it stands the winter long. I long for you, for your soft touch, I miss the way you smile. The longer that we stay apart, the longer every mile. The flower stretches through the snow, it reaches toward the sun. And now without you the colour is gone…”

Introducing Lady Serafina Adamaris Shahzad of Tor

Isn’t she lovely?

Yes, it’s time for a new Gorean serial! A bit like the Slave World serial, where, unlike my ‘densely plotted in advance’ novels, I write a beginning, with an ending in mind, some vague set pieces in-between sketched out, and a sense of ‘writing the rest as I go along’. Like ‘the Slave World’, I’m going to try and post short frequent chapters on a semi-regular basis to keep you entertained as you hibernate during the Plague Year.

Another Update!

Another quick update, just to let you all know that I’m still around and writing.

Chloe is hard at work, not only doing art, but creating new models, garments, scenery etc as the stories require. I have stories that you will see shortly, but obviously I can write faster than Chloe can do the art.

An 'in progress' update!

Hello, faithful readers. This is a quick post to let you know what we’re all working on at the moment.

Chloe has been given a bit of time to relax and recuperate after her mammoth art schedule, as she’s recently returned to the UK and is getting back to normal after her half year in Canada with the wolverines.
