Kiera of Gor (6)

6: I learn some facts pertaining to the mysterious Sadric and lose my name in the process

The dynamics of our group were significantly altered once we had put some distance between ourselves and the village. Every night now when we camped the white silk girls were put to work cooking and serving while the red silk girls, Julie, Kim and Sophia, were used for the amusement of the men. We, the white silk girls, would be chained together with the loose end of our coffle chain secured to trees. The red silk girls would share the furs of the men each night, pleasing them and, if their wretched slutty sounds were anything to go by, eliciting much pleasure themselves.

KIera of Gor (5)

5: I have feelings that shame me

“Your friend dances quite well,” said Eleanor as she gazed out through the wooden bars of the cage in which we sat. “Better than the previous two girls. The men seem to approve anyway. I do not think she will be whipped.”

Daughter of Gor by Olga Turlovna (Part Twelve - Conclusion)

Daughter of Gor

By Olga Turlovna

50 - The Carnival of the Twelfth Passage Hand

Closing my eyes I lift my wrists above my head, crossed as if for binding and stretch my hands.

When my fingers are extended to maximum reach a slow tempo begins from the drum, regular as a heartbeat at rest. To this beat I circle my pelvis, thrusting towards the warriors in a blatant display of female sexuality.

44 - I learn of the Jungle Rennel, and resume my duties as a slave to Kurii

“Wake up, lazy kajira,” a man is saying.

My senses tell me I’m lying on my back, I have my sanity and I am not in fact dead.

I am trained to obey so I do as he commands, opening my eyes to see a man in the green robes of the physicians’ caste looming over me.

“Welcome back slave,” he smiles at me. “You’re lucky to be alive.”

40 - I do not witness a defeat.

I have read many fictional scrolls about Gor, which usually feature brave warriors; beautiful slave girls; and epic battles. If the life of Aurore unrolled before me like one of these scrolls, after this hiatus in the jungle the story would now benefit from an exciting chapter where I described the fall of the compound of Kurtz to the forces of the Kurii.

Alas, I must report to you that Gorean reality is not always like a scroll.

35 - I have new owners. Others enjoy a change in social status.

There is sunlight and my head rests on a pillow of dead leaves. This place where I’m lying is warm with the tropical climate, but unlike the grassy swampland around the compound, it is shaded here.

Above me is the canopy of jungle trees, vast trees that are hundreds of years old. I am in the main rainforest.

What might have been: Warlords of Gor

One of you lovely precious readers – Mistress Donna of Dover - posted a comment yesterday asking me whether it was Olga Turlovna's book, Daughter of Gor, that inspired me to come up with Emma as a TG character transformed by Kurii science, or whether I had intended writing her that way anyway.

Ubara of Gor cover art

chloeK has just sent me the finished cover for the upcoming Ubara of Gor book, so I of course had to share it with everyone. Pictured from left to right on the stern castle of the Larl of the Thassa are Tijani, Yishana – the self proclaimed Ubara of the Black Coast, Emma of course in her ship board slave attire and finally Kerim Shah, Yishana's so-called sorcerer.

30 - A line is crossed.

I have been plunged alive into the sun. I am burning, screaming and screaming from the white heat.

The suffering is only a moment, but a moment lasting forever.

New John Norman Gor novel: Quarry of Gor

I feel obliged to mention that someone else, other than me, is releasing a new Gor novel on the 25th June – a writer you may have heard of. :)

Ubara of Gor concept art: Yishana

Some more character concept art from the forthcoming Ubara of Gor book – this time a character study of Yishana how she looks on board the Larl of the Thassa when she's not leaping into battle with her Askari spearmen.

26 - In which I discover that some of my masculine instincts remain, but others have gone forever.

I don’t make eye contact with my master as I move numbly to the ring of dirt that is the area for contests.

He is a cruel and barbaric brute, but he is a genius, I must acknowledge that.

Kurtz is the only one that knows I used to be a man. He is the only one here who knows I used to be a soldier. He is the only one here who knows I am trained to fight.

So Kurtz has lured the panther into this fight, and now she walks into the trap.

22 - Aurore of the Sardar serves her master

“Paga, Master,” I say, and keeping my head appropriately lowered I extend my arms and offer the drink out to Him.

Silently Kurtz takes the cup from me. I do not look up, knowing it unwise to do so, but I sense I am being appraised. Then he speaks.

“It would please me to know how goes your life as a kajira, Aurore. Specifically – I wish you to tell me if you find your new life better or worse than being a free woman.”

I take a few moments consider my response. I must answer honestly – slaves are not permitted deception.

18 - I witness a third woman being collared

The two men are almost out of earshot when I resolve to act.

“Master, please,” I call out desperately. “Tell the Ubar I beg for slavery.”

Time seems to freeze. I’ve said it. It’s out there, the words hanging in the air.

A woman has addressed a man “Master”. That is sufficient in most places on Gor to earn the speaker of the title a collar.

14 - I resume my progress up the River Nyoka

Just below my feet, the Nyoka continues its sedate progress downstream towards Thassa – the sea. It has likely made this same journey for millennia, unconcerned by the events of human or Priest Kings, and it will likely continue long after I am gone.

I find its steady presence comforting and try to distract myself, watching any movements of ripples and eddies that distort the smooth surface.

At one point I see a miniature whirlpool disturb the tranquillity, perhaps created by the abrupt movement of some living creature hidden below in the muddy water.

10 - What occurs in Torcadino

As I walk under armed guard through the city of Torcadino, I consider that this has been my most pleasurable experience since awakening inside Aurore. Despite being a woman I finally have a little freedom to move around, exploring the city almost like an Urth tourist would back home.

Granted I have an escort – either Telisio, Rorius, or both, stand close by me, exuding their combination of menace and protectiveness. But the two men are as interested in exploring this new city as I am, so it is not difficult persuading them to leave our discrete rooms in the safety of the midday.

7 - I learn about the role of a free woman

“The outer veil fastens here, Mistress,” Tala says, lifting her hand to show me a discreet loop of cloth inside my hood. “The hook on the veil goes into the loop.”

She waits patiently while I fumble to secure the rectangle of cloth that covers the lower part of my face.

Silently I finish the task, and then let my hands fall to my sides, looking at my reflection in the full length mirror.

It’s not me there – it’s someone else. I see the image of Aurore of the Sardar, fully dressed as befits a free woman of Gor.

Tijani – character concept art by chloeK

One of the new supporting characters for book 5: Ubara of Gor is Tijani, who was briefly introduced in the final chapter of Shadows when Emma, perhaps unwisely in retrospect, taunted him when he was chained to the oars of the Cosian galley, the Carcassonne.

1 - In which men talk business with Priest Kings

"And why is it that a man of Urth is needed to serve the Priest Kings?" I ask, leaning forward attentively. "Yes, I am from the caste that Goreans would call the warriors, but so are many of your allies. You have a mission on my home world, perhaps?"

Urth is their name for the Earth, my home, for I am no longer on the Earth. This world is Gor, the Counter Earth, a dangerous planet but a beautiful one.

Daughter of Gor by Olga Turlovna - Introduction

Daughter of Gor by Olga Turlovna is essentially the inspiration for my whole Emma saga. It was published on the Internet in 2014 and to my knowledge is the first time someone set out to write a piece of fanfic set in John Norman's world that strived to be more than just a short BDSM scene (which until Olga came along was what Internet Gor fanfic amounted to). Inspired by the film Apocalypse Now (and the book Heart of Darkness the film was loosely based on), Olga crafted a full blown novel, originally serialised in three parts, that adapted the structure and plot of the film into a Gorean setting.

Ooops...

So... you may be forgiven for thinking I've been incredibly lazy of late, and yes, you'd be quite right. I have been incredibly lazy! It has been a longer gap between books 4 and 5 than I originally intended, mostly down to all manner of things happening in my life, plus just taking a bit of a break from writing. Trouble is, time zipped by before I realised how much time had indeed, ahem, zipped by.

Um...
