Chloe discusses varieties of slave collars

Greetings, kind masters and gentle mistresses, it's Chloe again, with another parade of slaves (and a captive free woman who frankly resembles a slave), this time modelling the three main collars you will see referenced in our stories.

But before I begin – and please, Lady Saffia, will you stand still while I'm addressing the frees, and desist from constantly tugging at the hem of your tunic. It really won't stretch any further on your thighs than it already hangs. That's it – hands at your sides. Let the fabric fall naturally. You have petty legs after all, it would be a shame to hide them from the masters now, wouldn't it?

I'm sorry about that. You know how Saffia can be at times. But between you and me you should have seen how desperately she begged for that scrap of rep cloth tunic when it became apparent that the other girls were being given things to wear that were far more revealing than hers. Oh yes, I should perhaps mention the fabrics as well. Emma... I mean, slave 646, is wearing her favourite piece of pleasure silk. I had originally intended to dress her in a simple work tunic but when she discovered that Mistress Donna is away for a week, and that the masters would be in attendance on their own, she whined and wheedled to be permitted to wear her pleasure silk. I doubt she would have done that if there were free women in attendance! But anyway, I said yes, as she has been working hard recently (she's given me the first 4 chapters of the new Rachel serial to look at for example). The silk is very diaphanous and shows off her curves, especially with the high slits at either side. You'll notice masters that the height of the slits means you can simply lift the front of the silk if you wish to put her to use. Very convenient. Slave 646 wears a selection of gold bangles on her left wrist, a solid gold nose ring of Turian design and gold hoop earrings. Master Brinn tends to dress Emma in valuable jewellery (between you and me the jewellery is worth more than she is – but don't tell her that!). The collar she is modelling is the standard Gorean band collar seen in most cities of Central Gor. Hers is engraved with the symbol of her master – a swooping tarn.

Now, the Lady Saffia. As mentioned she wears a rep cloth tunic (you can probably tell from the weave). Rep cloth is a good day to day workmanlike fabric that washes well and doesn't suffer from rough handling. It is commonly used in slave tunics. A garment like this is about as modest a garment as the Lady Saffia can ever hope to wear, and she should be grateful for it. The Lady Saffia of course is free and so her nose and ears remain un-pierced. She models a collar of Turian design. Most Gorean collars, decorated or not, are basically a flat, circular band, hinged, which locks snugly about the girl’s neck. The Turian collar, on the other hand, fits more loosely and resembles a hinged ring, looped about the throat. A man can get his fingers inside a Turian collar and use it to drag the girl to him. It does not fit loosely enough to permit being slipped, of course. Gorean collars are not made to be slipped by the girls who wear them. The Lady Saffia's collar includes a rather lovely ring attachment to which a leash can be clipped. This is useful for when the Lady Saffia needs to be exercised so that her calves don't get fat. Of course since she has been placed on a calorie controlled diet of slave gruel, that hasn't really been a problem.

Finally, please welcome the lovely Naomi, who like me is a first girl. Naomi has been a pleasure to work with and is only too happy to help out when there are masters and mistresses present. Naomi wears the typical breech cloth of slaves on board the Larl of the Thassa – this is a length of plain white cloth looped about the waist and tied with a loose strip descending down between her legs. No covering is provided for her bottom. This is the sole garment worn by all the slaves on board the Larl, which as you may recall sails sub-tropical waters. It can of course be removed by a man very easily, often with just a sharp tug of a hand. Naomi wears a flat crescent shaped collar, much like a crescent necklace, which sits close to the collar bone of a girl. This is a collar seen in the tropics of Gor and is favoured by her mistress, the Ubara Yishana. I think it is a lovely shape and works especially well with dark skin. Thank you, Naomi.

One thing all the collars have in common is the small, heavy lock. They come in several varieties, but almost all are cylinder locks, either of the pin or disk variety. In a girl's collar lock there would be either six pins or six disks, one each, it is said, for each letter in the Gorean word for slave, Kajira.

Again, I hope this has been useful and informative. The girls have all worked hard to be pleasing – even the Lady Saffia who between you and me has recently been spotted blushing and taking an interest in men who stop to talk to her. She doesn't know I've seen this. *soft smile*

Oh, and one last thing – I'm hoping to have finished the first set of Ubara of Gor illustrations by this Wednesday. If so you may see that novel commence at long last with regular weekly postings from this coming week. Twenty chapters of lovely pictures from me and pages and pages of 'oh, and then all my clothes fell off! And men are looking at me! The beasts! And did I mention I'm a trained pleasure slave?' from slave 646. :)

As ever Chloe thanks for posting. I like the collar that Lady Saffia wears. I think Saffron would be a good slave name for her once she is branded and loses her white silk status. ;-)

    1. Mmm, Saffron would be a good name for her, Master. :)

  2. Tal Chloe,

Any free woman that begs to wear the garment of a Kajira is undeniably a natural slave. ;) I'm growing rather impatient waiting for Saffia to receive what she so richly deserves. The Turian collar suits her very well, as will a brand and pierced ears and nose.

    1. Absolutely, Master. Begging to wear a slave tunic is tantamount to declaring yourself a secret slave. A free woman has to be very careful about that sort of thing.

  3. Is the "and all my clothes fell off" a homage to the late Kenny Everett's show? (Loved that show btw)

    1. Not specifically, Chloe, though now that you mention it I can see the reference. It was more just poking fun at one of the classic Gor tropes where free women always seem to end up losing their clothes... :)

I take it that you want to be taking part in another Boots play soon?

    1. Um, that wasn't quite what I meant, kind and gentle Mistress. I'm not really the actress type...

    1. Ssssh! Don't give the free men and women any ideas! You know I didn't enjoy it, Chloe! I don't think the master, Boots, liked me very much...

    2. "Hugs Emma" don't worry hon, I'll make sure you have a good excuse to not perform. But I loved doing it, it was such a thrill

    4. Tal emma and chloe,

The additional "entertainment" in the furs after the play ended was where you really showcased your talents.

    5. Well that part was certainly fun too :)

  6. Since you bring up the subject of collars, chloe, I am reminded of a question that's been on my mind for a few days. What kind of collar do you think would suit a beautiful woman of the Tahari who has been captured by a tarnsman of Treve? No hurry; I expect it will be, oh, days or weeks before she is put into a locked metal slave collar...

    1. Please do not dignify this stupid tarnsman’s question with anything even remotely resembling a reply. He has little understanding of the reality of the situation and will soon look very foolish indeed when he has to apologise for his mistakes to date. - the Lady Yasmina of Patashqar.
